Honoured by Kim Quirt, Susan Harvey, and Rhonda Tiller
In recognition of 57 years of marriage (and still going strong!) we wish to dedicate this leaf to our parents, Bob and Lorraine Harvey, parents of Kim (Glen), Susan (Chris) and Rhonda (Jeff) and amazing grandparents to Robert and Troy.
Bob and Lorraine were high school sweethearts and have been such an inspiration to all of us. In the early years, Dad was a railroader and then worked many years as a police officer starting at the West Ferris Police Dept. until amalgamating with North Bay in 1968. Mom worked at home using her wonderful talent sewing and quilting skills. We are all so fortunate to have hand sewed quilts from many hours of stitching.
Dad worked until the symptoms of MS forced him to retire at 40. They have since spent winters in Florida and summers in North Bay. Our parents have had many hobbies and passions that continue to this day from sledding, sailing, camping to building and flying model airplanes, to picture and video productions. The glass is always half full!
Mom and Dad have been wonderful models to their grandchildren. They always have time to listen, help and support their hobbies and sports.
It is fitting that this Pergola is on the Waterfront because Mom and Dad grew up in North Bay and spent summers on Lake Nipissing at family cottages. Until recently, they had a family boat that spent many hours in Callander Bay. We spent hours at Animal Island and touring the lake.
Mom and Dad continue to be incredibly positive and fun!

Constantino “John” D’Agostino
John D’Agostino, born and raised in North Bay to Rocco and Angelina D’Agostino, is a graduate of Laurentian University with an Honours degree in Economics and Political Science. John obtained his Bachelor of Law at the University of Windsor and further obtained a Juris Doctor Degree at the University Of Detroit Mercy School of Law. John articled with the Toronto law firm, Loopstra, Nixon & McLeish before being called to the bar. John remained with Loopstra, Nixon & McLeish until 1997, practicing law primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial and real estate law. John returned to his hometown of North Bay to practice law for himself in April of 1997.
Upon John’s welcomed reintegration into our community, he immediately began investing in real estate in our City. Following in the footsteps of his parents, he purchased the building on the corner of Fisher and Oak Streets, with two other young entrepreneurs, who have also remained in North Bay, and proven to be valuable members of our community.
John also began to give of himself, recognizing how important community is, by not only volunteering his time and providing professional legal advice, but further providing financial donations to the Capitol Centre, Warriors of Hope, North Bay Area Arts Centre, North Bay and Area Community Foundation, One Kid’s Place, Coach 4 Food, North Bay & Area Business Centre, Air Base Property Corporation, Habitat for Humanity, and, of course, the Community Waterfront Friends, to name a few.
Not alone in John’s quest for a great community, his wife Cindie, son Adam, and daughter Dagmar are all heavily involved in almost every possible activity, sport, and club that North Bay has to offer; often not only as participants, but giving their time, energy and resources, following the example they observe in John each and every day.
On countless occasions, John has put the interests of many entrepreneurs, local businesses, neighbours, clients, and friends before his own, sacrificing so many things, so many times, always in the interest of others.
John has redefined “success”, primarily through his example and leadership. Profit is not at the top of his list, but family, friends and community are. John truly cares for his clients and the community in which he resides, and as a result, is successful.
Thank you, John, for being a part of our community, as a friend, a philanthropist, a mentor, a confidant and a leader.
